Two long summers of no rain and an ongoing problem of oak wilt has cost us several trees. We will top them (at least) this winter. I dont want to do away with them completely,we have 4 different kinds of woodpeckers here that are great to watch when they are working the dead trees. Has anyone got any ideas to make them 'a different kind of beautiful' ?
ideas for dead trees?
Perhaps climbing vines or chainsaw art (totem poles)? But don't leave them too long, or cut them too high, because they will become hazards soon enough.
