If anyone hasn't been to the new butterfly garden at Buena Creek Nursery in San Marcos, ya gotta go! I was there day before yesterday and it's absolutely wonderful, just packed with all kinds of good stuff. It's such a beautiful spot anyway, but the new garden....wow! I was on a salvia expedition and they didn't disappoint. Plus I always come home with new ideas for my own gardens. It's so much cooler today, really nice finally. It would make a good outing for a Saturday!

New butterfly/hummer garden at Buena Creek
yes yes yes, its wonderful....... I love the daisy trees were they blooming?
steph,
Are those the ones that front onto the parking area? I seem to remember them blooming there before and didn't really notice them this time., so perhaps they weren't blooming. I did however notice one of the large plectranthus there (in that same area) that I used to have and want to replace, so I'll have to go back. heh heh. Maybe next week. I can't believe I was actually in a bit of a hurry that day and had already loaded a cartful of salvia that I wanted, so didn't poke around too much. Yes, will definitely go back this week. It's good to have goals!

They have so many wonderful hard to get plants. Have fun when you go. they have maderence geraniums there. Those are one of the most fantisctic blooms I have ever seen. they dont bloom there first year but the second year gorgeous and they self sow. I have lots of babies. I also got my white shrimp plant there.
