Well I guess everyone knows Chachamaru is beautiful but I`m noticing it seems pollen infertile. I got about two seeds that I planted to grow some more vines. I got tired of watching the flowers die and make no seed so I tried cross pollinating with some others like one of my My Fugis. The crosses took and I planted some of the seeds already. The Chachamaru finaly made a decent pod with more than one seed in it. I also have crossed them with yogiros and waiting to see if they will take.
I did a search and I see there are others doing the cross pollinating. My question is what do you get when you cross a chocolate Chachamaru with a large Mt Fugi dark blue? What would the colors be like? I have learned blue is dominant and pink is recessive. I`ll know for sure when my experiment plants bloom in a few months but wondered if someone more experienced could give some insight on possible results.

Surely, there must be a way to improve the fertility of the Chachamaru? I wondered about selecting and breeding to help with the problem. Maybe I better use some chocolate color vines. I have some chocolate but they havent bloomed yet.
