Gram, your story of the stove made me think of my Great-Aunt in Germany. She would only cook on her woodburning stove. What a neat contraption that was! It amazed me how she knew how much wood would give her the required heat!

Anita, that's cool. we've lost a lot with modern convenience (but I wouldn't give it up for anything)

I have a "union suit". It is red wool with a button flap in the back. It keeps me toasty warm on cold nights. Not exactly a "fashion statement" but warm and comfortable. Funny thing is that I bought it at a flea market in So. Cal before I moved to Connecticut! LOL

Okay I guess that is way before my time LOL I am still a young'en LOL
