'Roundtoit finally gotten round to....lilies from this year.

Here are some of the ones that made it this wierd rainy year....
A new one for me - from The Lily Nook
Alabaster Rose

Here is Altari - 2nd year in the ground, first year up....very nice and very long lived in the garden.

Here is American Journey. First year for me. The bit of overrun of the color on the petals makes me a bit worried re virus....any thoughts? (the other ones from this series seem to have pigmentation that 'runs' a bit too, so maybe it is just a function of the orienpets?)

Here is Black Jack....nice and dark, back for a second year

Here is Citronella - a very nice performer....long lasting and loads of blooms/stem first year up

Duo - smallish blooms but very pretty with a rose center fading to light at the tips

Eurydice - one of my favorites from the Lily Garden

Fanfare - a big tetraploid from The Lily Garden - very long lasting

I am pretty sure this is Gran Cru....label is lost

Karen North - orangish face with maroon spots and a purplish reverse - very nice

Lilium auratum - from Old House Gardens (they have some great species)

This one was labeled 'Legend'....haven't been able to find it anywhere, must not be registered. Pretty, about 3' tall this first year for me.

Lemon Stardust - the 'tango' types are not my favorites, but this is striking from a distance in the garden and lasted a good long time.

Lilium henryii - wild and wooly

No name light pink lily - very pretty from a WWF mix (strawberries and cream)

Tiger lily - L. lancifolium

Loreto - another very bold orange lily - very striking it almost glows.

Modern Style - another new one from The Lily Nook - very big flowers - they fell apart rather quickly, but I expect it was due to the LARGE amount of rain we had...

Nice unspotted orange no name lily.....also from a mix from WFF

Scheherazade - a WONDERFUL lily - can't say enough - the margins starts out a bit creamy yellow and fades to white -the red deepens over time. Very nice in the garden

This was named incorrectly when I got it....don't care a whit...it is gorgeous and lasts a long time in the garden..

All beautiful, esw! Red Velvet is one of those dangley types I really like! Altari has a very long period of bloom in my garden. Last year I went to the trouble of making a chart showing the first and last date of bloom of all my lilies. Unfortunately I didn't get roundtoit this year.

I am glad I take pictures every couple of days or so and so know when they open and generally how long they are in bloom....don't take pics when they give up though so the end date is not very exact....Now, you may ask, have I actually gone back and documented this stuff in chart form.....no.
Maybe in the depths of winter.... :)
