.............drought, high temperatures, high winds, leaf eatin' bugs and plant eatin' critters, once in awhile we do get a pleasant morning surprise. Here's a picture of a 3 1/2 inch bloom on one that friend Emma calls I.China MG that made it's first showing today. Sorry for focus, but that's the best my cheapo camera will do on a close up!

Very pretty. Amazing how things can still grow, even with the droughts, horrible temperatures, etc.
Emma, this I.China was a pleasant surprise. I've had blooms from 3 or 4 Purple JMG varieties and this un is right in there with the best of 'em and better than most.
