One of these long days I should get 'Fancy That' for its name alone.
Great pictures of great plants, Joanne.

Hi Kenton,

Thank you so much....I think that is a standard too. I am kind of leaning over to mini's and semi's because I am running out of room fast....LOL!

Dawna, They are beautiful!
Glad to know others have that "strange fuzzy stuff" on their AV's too...:)

Good Growing!

Thanks for posting your lovely plants, Joanne! Always fun to see what others are growing. I have a couple of chimeras blooming now. First is Lyon's 'Fortune Teller' which has nice large size blossoms.

Hello Snowrose!

Oh my that Lyon's Fortune is to die for! I LOVE it!!! That must have been an expensive plant I bet. Beautiful photo. Kiwi is pretty too but I love the Lyon's Fortune more.

TFS!

Joanne

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Thanks all! Yes, Fortune Teller is a beautiful variety and the blossoms as I said do get quite large as well as the plant which happens to be variegated, too.

Drumheller, AB(Zone 2a)

Hi Snowrose!

Oh I love the variegated too...most of my mini's have variegation and then I have some of the big Buckeye's and of course they are all variegated. They look so pretty even when they aren't in bloom.

Ooooh, I love Toronto Belle. Those leaves just call out to me. Do you mind if Iask where you got it? Thanks. :)

Marilee

Snowrose,
When you get a chance can you snap a shot of it with the foliage??
I bet it is just yummy!

Drumheller, AB(Zone 2a)

Hi Marilee,

I don't mind at all and thank you for the compliment. I bought it from Alannah's in Ontario, Canada but unfortunately she died. The business is no longer but has been taken over by Blue Flox Farms.

I am sure you should be able to find it....I have had it probably for five years now. The flowers are very insignificant but I love the foliage as well.

I would offer to send a couple leaves but they are so small an dainty I am afraid they wouldn't make it.

Mrs. Critterkeeper....I've been potting, re-potting my AV's and decapitating chimeras all day and Fortune Teller happened to be one of them ;0( Soooo....the plant is not very attractive at the moment except for the crown cutting.

Joanne, I love the Buckeye's, too. Here is a pic of a young plant of Buckeye Cranberry Sparkler which produces very even variegation on the leaf edges and grows like a dream.

Hi Snowrose!

Looks like my Buckeye Extravaganza only my flowers are lighter with the darker edge. It bloomed for almost three months that I know of...I bought it at the end of April and it quit blooming last month some time.

Very, very pretty!

Joanne

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

Just lovely!
Thanks Snowrose... I'm doing a massive repotting myself so I really undertand about how they look afterwards... Just call me "Grace".

If I don't drop the pots ~I drop the plants....thank heaven they are hardy lil rascals.:)

Beautiful pics!

MsC

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Hahaha...Mrs C.....I can relate especially today. I'm worn out and still have so much more to do. I keep thinking and trying to cut back on the number of plants I grow but there is always something else that catches my eye.

Joanne, I don't have Buckeye Extravaganza but it sounds like a nice one.

How about Apache's? Some of those have the nicest foliage.

Grand Forks, BC(Zone 5b)

Joanne, isn't Alannah's new home, Blue Fox Farm, in B.C.? I have talked to her on one occassion about buying plants. They are only an hour or so away from me, but they only do Mail Order.

Don Ü

Drumheller, AB(Zone 2a)

Hi Donna,

Yes I did mention that up above in one of my responses. I had placed an order with her and waited about 5 months and then she said she couldn't provide any of my order so she gave me a full refund.

Very nice lady....Jacki is her name.

Joanne
