Can someone tell me what kind of butterfly this is? It has blue markings on the bottom of its wings.

I realize the butterfly is somewhat fuzzy in the picture, but his tail is rounded, no swallow tail points. The blue on his wings are more rounded like dots instead of a blue smear like a swallowtail.

Edit: Well, on second look, maybe it does have points on the tail. The stripes sure looks like a tiger.

It is a Tiger Swallowtail (Pterourus glaucus), and a female too. The blue pigmentation gives her away. :-)

If you plant fennel and/or queen annes lace you will get more... those are what the cats eat.
