Coffee...and for July 29, 2006
Love that pic. Sort of reminds me of me, first thing in the morning.
Sunday's are special for me too!
Just got home from Seattle. Marias plane was delayed due to thunder storms. We stayed with her at the airport untill she was safely past the security check point. Linda wanted her to come back home with us and fly monday and got teary eyed and sniffley.
We both so enjoyed her so much she is a super house guest and funny wonderful lady and she loved Gabby and secretly Sweet Jenny and Andy even though she refered to them as little devils lol.
Maria helped me harvesting onions wonder how many bushels I got, don't have a clue but lots lol. Maria laughed and said what in the world are you going to do with so many onions lol I said eat some .freeze some and give a bushel or two away.
Maria wants us to visit her but I don't think my legs will let me make a trip like that but who knows the impending surgical procedure be it roto rooter or laser may help me.I was fired by my doctor last week because he said he was to old for operating and refered me to a younger one, I see him next friday. Linda plans to go though and I am sure they will have a great time.
Thanks Maria you are a wonderful wonderful lady and filled this home with joy on your to short stay. Sorry you didn't meet Babs or Robert maybe next time . Hurry back my friend I need an excuse to play hooky from work. Ernie
Hi all
Ernie-I'm getting sniffly too reading about the goodbyes. I'm so glad we got to share the adventure and pictures...sure looked cooler there than here.
defoecat-thanks for the canning and freezing a pickling info. We have made dills in the canning jars. This year I bought a fabulous crock that darius posted the link for. Darius has her pickles fermenting away already, I, of course, am waiting for my cucumbers to be at least two inches long!! My plants got munched and had to be replanted.
We'd been wanting to try crock dills so maybe this will be the year. Next year I'll get cabbages going again for sauerkraut.
IO1-I so agree about being blessed, more everyday reading about the strife and disaster in other parts of the world. DD#1 is still in Nicaragua, got an email about the rice and beans program. They take sacks of rice and beans to people outside the village (these people do not have homes. They live in piles in stuff like the homeless do here). DD described crawling under electrified barbed wire fences and garbage everywhere. One family proudly showed her an iguana they had caught. they were going to eat it for dinner. The mosquitoes there are horrid too, but they have no screens, no bug spray, no relief at all, and the mosquitoes carry dengue fever and malaria. I sit in my screened house by the fan sipping iced coffee or tapping on the computer, and wonder, why was I chosen to be here?
Mary-I think I'd be relieved not to be on this weekend's endurance ride! I'm supposed to drive Jared and the surrey tonight at a benefit garden party for the SPCA. It's supposed to hit 90 this afternoon, and if it's too hot/humid or threatening thunderstorms I won't do it. DH said he supposes an SPCA group would be the first ones to understand if you didn't want your horse stressed! It was so much fun last year and I know people enjoyed it. Fingers crossed.
I should get unlazy and go weed while it's still cool. BBL have a great day everyone!!
Good morning all,
Been up for awhile making one of those neck cooler strips - NOT for the garden this time but to wear in hot churches while working the festival. Won't have it ready for the kids' concert this morning, but maybe for the sweat box this afternoon. Am working 3 concerts today - 10, 2 and 8. Got to 2 1/2 yesterday but only worked at one.
Dorothy, we make sauerkraut on occasion. It's been awhile, but we might this year. Last time I did it I didn't process the jars though - just sunk them into my freezer.
DH makes beer. Many years ago - probably the first time we made kraut - he simultaneously made a batch of beer and had them both fermenting in the same room. Obviously some organisms crossed over because it was the strangest tasting batch of beer he's ever made.
Gotta be out of here in less than an hour; so I'd better not go on too long.Need breakfast and have laundry to hang out.
BBL
Ann
OOH sauerkraut beer!! The perfect thing to serve at ballgames with the hotdogs!!
defoecat, Sundays may be special to you but this is Saturday!
I have relatives coming over to see the rehab to my house. My spousal unit & I were determined to cook something that would allow us time to enjoy and visit with them. So I opted for Brunswick Stew, fresh peaches and cornbread. Everything will be ready ahead of time except for the cornbread.
I stopped at a souvenier stand at Toxaway Falls. This stand has been there for 60 years and 2 generations have run it. He gets great Amish rockers and other furniture and while he's at it, he gets Amish butter. My family loves homemade butter and we were just discussing this with my
S-I-L a couple of days ago. So I bought 2 pounds @$4.00 a pound, not much higher than butter in the grocery stores. I tasted it when I got home. Well, it's not made from aged cream, but sweet cream. Still, it has lots more flavor than grocery store butter. In fact, I remember a rumor a couple of years back that lard is often mixed in with butter, now. Certainly when I tasted my Land O' Lakes, it was pretty tasteless compared to this Amish butter.
Lard ! ......... eeeeeeewwwww that would taste awful ;-(
The FDA only allows cream and/or salt in butter.
We have been involved in the Dairy industry almost 50 years and never heard such an awful rumour.
I agree on butter being tasteless just like most commercially produced food nowadays.
It must be from all the modern production practices. I had to buy some 'store-bought' beef that was awful tasting , it had almost no flavor at all.
ws, is there a Forum here for all this canning and pickling you speak of ?
TIA
Yum, real butter! We used to make it at my aunt's farm, and I still remember how much better it tasted than store bought. Fresh cream from their own cows, and churned in a little table top churn that held about a gallon. We used to take turns cranking the handle because it seemed like it took forever to start forming curds. It wasn't that pale color you see now either, it was a rich deep yellow. After my aunt poured off the buttermilk, it was rinsed and patted into shape in a bowl. If it was a hot day, when it melted, you didn't see that watery stuff sitting underneath either, it just became liquid. The kitchen was always hot, winter or summer, because she cooked on a wood burning stove.
Some of my best summer days were spent there. This is me, my sister, and the boy cousins.... little gang of gypsies!! Note the classy macaroni necklaces....I'm the short kid
going back outside before it gets too hot to breathe....

Well, gonna straighten the house a little, then am heading out the the harvest showcase. It runs all day, but I want to be there for lunch, as all producers cook some of their produce, and it can be had for a very reasonable price.
Ws, I know it is Saturday!! We were talking about this being the day before Sunday. Don't confuse me now, I can do that all by myself!! Lunch sounds great.
Talking about tasteless grocery store items, there are several stores in our area that feature home grown produce throughout the growing season. |The other produce usually just sits there, and ends up being tossed. There is no comparison to homegrown.
There is a canning forum, is very informative, so during the growing season, make it one of your preferred forums to see.
Well gotta get moving, as it will be a busy day. We are invited to a birthday party tonight for an 11 year old boy who has Multiple Dystrophy. He is a sweetie. Mom and Dad have scads of money, they have invited over 100 people, and are serving a steak dinner, cookout style. This child is already wheelchair bound and life expectancy is about age 14. So of course they go all out on his birthday.
It is overcast here, and not too hot, so it may turn out to be a great day for the outdoors, of course I will carry my umbrella with me.
Will check in later.
Good morning all Hey dmc unlazy thats my line! lol you can use it too. Have been hanging laundry doing stuff around the house. I seem to spend so much time outside things are getting away from me in the house.
DGB had her tests. 3 of them I only knew of the MRI. Took 15 minutes and she slept for 40. Wished she would have been sleeping for her first one. They cathered her add die and then made her tinkle to watch on x ray. Took 4 of use to hold a 10 month old still. Course with her crying MAMAMAMA then turning it to NANANA I wanted to just push everyone away and hug her so tight. Seems they wee looking for problems in her urinary tract. They thought she had a UTI at one point andwanted to see what the deal was. Course lectured DD for not letting me in on all of this before the tests. I was so p-----* that they were putting her through all the test for an undisclosed reason and DD knew why. Just eliminated telling me and wanting me to go along too.
She won't do that again.
Any way the baby checked out fine. Felt so sorry for her , we stopped at wal-mart and I bought her two new toys, to stay at nana's house andbug me with. She deserved it.
Another load to hang. ~~~~~~~~to everyone cause I can never remember who 'sI read and who isn't on.
M5, what a cute picture, and great memories to go with it.
The Long Horn visit last evening was a great success. Everything was delicious. I had steak topped with blue cheese, bacon and sun dried tomatoes. Yum. They will definitely get a good rating. I sent my steak back, as it was a little too pink, my fault for ordering medium instead of medium well. The manager returned my recooked steak, and was very gracious. I never do that, but just couldn't go that much pink. Well, I am making myself hungry so better go before I gain another 3 pounds.!!
My Mom was here a couple of weeks ago and shared a memory from her childhood that I had not heard before. She noticed some old brown snuff bottles that I have up on a shelf, and it triggered her memory of her Grandmother giving her a clean bottle with fresh cream in it, a cork with a hole through the middle and and oak twig through the hole. Mom (around 4 years old) would sit and make butter!
I have all the things gathered to make her one of these to sit in her window. I will make one for my sister and two brothers as well as one for me. I'm going to go to Dairy Science on campus and get some really good whole milk and we're gonna make butter!!!
I have no idea just when all this will happen. Right now, my sister is planning a visit in October. Whenever she does get here is when I hope this will happen.
ginni
Sorry cece! My brain just shoplifted your word!! It's so perfect for me - i bet I'm lazier than you, so I need it more!! LOL. Glad DGB checked out okay, that would be agony to have to listen to her crying and afraid. I used to cry when they gavve the babies shots.
darius-Thanks for the link to canning and freezing, and thanks for mentioning it scooter. I guess it might have dawned on me eventually (DUH) In February, probably!
Sheila-What a wonderful picture! You still look the same. Wonderful stories....do you know I've never tasted fresh butter? It makes sense it would be better than the manufactured stuff, like everything else, but it never occurred to me before. Now i will have to get a cow. I found a electric churn in the summer kitchen of the farmhouse, too. They used to raise cows there.
We picked about 8 quarts of blueberries from the bushes i put in 5 years ago. They are SOOOOO good, because we wait until they just about fall off the branches. They have lots of blueberry flavor then. Ate 3 muffins packed with them for breakfast - help yourselves!! your teeth will probably turn blue.
There will be another picking too. I put in 5 or 6 highbush, that are now about 3 1/2 feet tall and produce huge berries, and 10 lowbush that get 1 1/2 feet tall and are covered with med. size berries. I think it takes the highbushes longer to get to production stage.
Edited because, how sad is this, I can't even spell DUH!

Good morning all don't you just hate it when you stay up late and get up Early well at least I got to sleep in an hour and a half from the normal hour of 5. Sipping hot coffee and I can feel it's warmth seeping into the convoluted crevases of my feeble mind. My chair is calling me to sit back and snooze but I cannot because Gabby has a vets appointment in a couple hours . Would you believe she likes the vet lol Todd talks to her and gets down on the floor and tells her what a pretty girl she is while he sneaks a feel here and there generally gets a kiss for his efforts .
The weather monster has taken the relentless heat and replaced it with gray skies and a stiff breeze with 52 degree weather ,perfect for transplanting some cauliflower I bought the first day of Marias visit here but couldn't do because it would have cooked.Much to do today seeding some winter Broc ,cauli, and cabbage maybe the bunnies won't come on snow shoes lol round four coming up. The crows are starting to get the pie cherries so those of you who like cherry pie better come get some.
Ok off to do something even if it is wrong lol I cant keep sitting in this chair because it is like a magical shoal siren relentlessly calling me into calm but shallow waters and I can't risk snoozing and missing my Gabbies appointment. Think I will feed the kids and then pull the last two wheel barrows of onions and tie a few up to dry.
Have a good day all it is going to be a good day for me and want it to be good for you to. Ernie
Darius, Thanks for the link.
M5 , What a precious photo.
heeeeeeeeeee !
I picked you out in the picture even before going back to read the complete post
;-)
I have made butter ( sometimes by accident) with my big old electric stand mixer lol

Morning everyone-I have my sea legs again after an evening on my DB boat. We drove an hour in rush hour traffic and I was a tense, basket case by time I got there. But the boat is glorious and we had a wonderful time. Had a yummy cookout, took a nice ride (very rocky/rolly tho) and anchored out in the lake to watch the sunset. DIL who is preggy got a tad sea sick, but didn't lose her cookies.
Would you believe my DM who is 82 climbed aboard the boat two times. It took my DB, and two DS to get her aboard, but she laughed the whole time about being a cripple up/ tubby old grandma. She enjoyed it so much. On the way home she said 'wouldn't your dad have been proud of Tom (DB)' It brought tears to my eyes...DD was the finest man on earth (despite his drinking problem LOL)
Continues to be hot and humid here and will for the next 4 days- but heck-it's summer, so I shouldn't complain.
I have some beautiful heavenly blue morning glories popping open- they are my absolutely favorite MG's - so crystal, pure blue.
Darius - sounds like you got your $$ worth out of your helpers. Won't your sis be surprised when she comes!!
Oz - I love playing horseshoes and I'm not too bad...Challenge you to a match. I used to bowl, but I really suck at that!! In one gutter and then in the other...plus all the smoke drove my crazy....
Mary- glad the guy ended up in prison - get him off the streets and confined for the rest of his nasty life. The only bad part is that we have to shuck out $$ for scum like that. I have no mercy for criminals
somer- cute twins!!! Bet they are best buds...
Well, everyone, I need to get my lard butt up and get the mower roaring- with all this rain, out grass is knee high. I'm gonna don my bathing suit and hop in the pool when I overheat.
~~ to everyone- have a great Sat!!
Pic of DB boat...
Hmmmm, guess I need to find a local source for good cream. I haven't made butter in over 50 years. But First, I will need to get the spring house repaired, and buy a churn. There was a dairy store outside of the town where I lived last year (NC) and I could get fresh butter. Expensive, but tasty!
M5, great photo! My grandma milked, and made butter when her kids were little, in Idaho. She'd send my mother and uncle David to fetch the cow each evening with the admonition, "DON'T ride the cow!" Of course, they rode the cow until in sight of the house. LOL.
Ginny, great butterchurn project bringing back memories for your mother! Mike the Yardman who was born and raised in this valley has never had home churned ice cream so I may get an ice cream churn (hand cranked of course) along with a butter churn. Lehman's probably carries both and I can order online when I get the money.
Cece, so sorry about the baby's trials. They are SO pitiful when they cry.
dmc, save me some blueberries! Actually I plan to plant some here, both highbush and lowbush. Maybe next year, along with some fruit trees. My he4lpers declined to work today because it's raining. My missing Harsch crock came yesterday so I may go hunt some organic cabbage and start some sauerkraut. Recipe calls for juniper berries and I can't find any locally. I have 2 of those banker's boxes chock full of unpacked herbs and spices but I don't think I have any juniper berries.
Ernie, you certainly can paint a lovely word picture!
Sarv, that's SOME boat!
BBL
Butter question please. My family is southern (Flat Rock/Hendersonville, NC) and they always bought butter at a little country store that had been in one family for YEARS. It was a special kind of butter that had a more sour taste than regular butter. My grandmother, aunts, etc., would wrap it and keep it in a tin for awhile before putting it in the fridge. It developed a strong taste and a small amount was added to the butter used in cakes, especially pound cakes. Really added a delicious intense butter flavor. We always called this funky butter.
Anyway.......finally, my question is....how is this butter made that made it fresh, but sour? And has anyone else ever used it for flavoring after it was "ripe"?
One of my favorite food memories is of that butter mixed in sourwood honey and spread on catshead biscuits. Just walking down memory lane this morning. Isn't it funny how something triggers long lost memories?
Pati
Good question Pati. Hope someone knows the answer!
catshead biscuits ..... you peaked my interest pati
Could that be from churning sour cream or yogurt ??
Darius, The question of churning is an interesting one. (my stomach does it often) Given the two, butter and ice cream, which would be the first choice ? Both have attributes, butter is a staple, but easier to purchase than make, and ice cream is on the top of the food pyramid, easy to purchase but not as good as home-made. Butter is usable year-round in so many ways, and ice cream is a necessary food source during the warmer weather. ( though some of us require it year-round) What's your opinion ?
Ernie, so sorry you didn't have time to stop by with Maria. Sounds like she had a great time here. Hope Gabbie's appointment goes well. I wish Imari was that good about going to the Vet, but she's only a year old and most everything is scary to her. The last day or so has been wonderful, no more heat and even a hint of rain. Your garden sounds fantastic, as usual, and thatsa buncha onyums.
Good thoughts and wishes to all.
Hi everyone, back home again from one of the most beautiful state I have ever been to and I have seen many.
Thank you Ernie for that lovely compliment but then you and Linda are the perfect hosts, I already miss your kindness and all that yummy food you stuffed me with, have not dared to step on the scale, I fear I put on a few pounds since I have not eaten that much in the last two years I do not think I will ever forget those wonderful cherries I just picked off the tree making a piggy out of my self, lol
Thank you Darius for responding to Ernie, guess no one else but you and I did so that surprised me.
As soon as I get the photos on to my gallery I will start a new thread so you can see them at your pleasure., right now I am too tired since I did not sleep a wink on the red eye.
Robert, you posted same time as I did, we wanted to stop be but thought you were away, so sorry would have loved to have met you

Was outside weeding whe a pair of cranes flew over the neighbors. Would of been to far away for a picture. Picture might take a while.
dmc what an experience your DD is having.Makes a person stop and think.
scooterbug where is
twin Lakes? I could look it up but I'm too lazy.
m5 Great picture!!!
Memories of my grandma cooking are opening a can of Hormel Chili for lunch and a plate of toast on the table all the time. Surprised my DM Is such a good cook!!
defoecat- the harvest Show sounds like fun. We only have the farmer's Market here.
cece glad your DGD is fine. You spoiled her good though afterwards. Pictures are in the mail.
tgif What a fun memory to do. Is it going to be a surprise?
sarv48 Glad you had a fun day on the boat with your family.
Hi and~~~~~to everybody else. BBL
Good afternoon everybody. Went to the harvest showcase, it is a once a summer event, and found the fresh dill that I needed. Every farmer in the country must have been there, you could have bought enough produce to feed the state this winter. There were some arts and crafts booths, some vendors had plants for sale, I bought a double purple columbine, and a daylily. Stopped at a couple of yard sales on the way home, what junk. Did find a little basket for a dime, perfect for making a Christmas goody basket for someone.
I just finished the left over part of my steak from last night. If anything it was better today. The blue cheese had time to filter in a little better, and those sun dried tomatoes were tasty.
Straightenen the house, have done 3 loads of laundry, some still in the dryer, and went out and vacuumed the pool. Was not paying attention, and an insect flew into my chest, I carelessly swatted at it, 2 bumble bees went down the front of my suit, stinging the bejeebers out of me. Let me tell you, it was not Esther Williams moves I was making!!
Welcome back Maria, so tell us how Samson greeted you?
I need to get up from here, sorry for not responding to everybody, but need to go take care of these stings, before I have to order a special made upper garment!! 3 instead of 2!! LOL
Lawsy defoe, if that had been me I'd still be in the hospital!! I do tend to react to wasp and bee stings.
Folks, this weather is depressing me!! We have had more clouds than sun for the last week but *no* rain! I *am* grateful for the lower temps, but my plants (and my water bill) need a break.
Other than the weather, all is well here, so I try not to complain. I even have a new recipe to try for supper/dinner tonight. It looks good on paper, so I'll see how it comes out on the plate. If it turns out good I'll let you know.
Off to the laundry room to tame that monster and then on to the dust elephants that have gathered in the corners. Did I mention that I *hate* housework?
ginni
~ ~ ~ ves,
TL is on the Wi - Illinois border about 35 mile west of Lake Michigan .
We are just south of beautiful Lake Geneva,WI
I'm sure gonna miss fishing in Lake Geneva but I will not miss the extreme freezing weather

~ ~ ~ tgif ,
It is that time of year again , I'm chasing dog/dust bunnies all over , even though I vacuum every day.

Hi all
Seems I've had to power down a lot lately but for the most part it's been false alarms. dmc, I think you asked me once if I had air conditioning? Yes yes ... couldn't stand it if I didn't. It's been hot and muggy with air you could cut with a knife. It slaps you in the face when you open the door. We've had electrical storms the past several days ... some severe. The one I told y'all about the other night got my neighbor's computer. Then my friends 15 miles down the road said it barely wet the ground. When the weather is like this you know it's dangerous.
Oh my gosh Defoe! Maybe you could just smush it in the middle and divide the thing evenly? :-) We wouldn't want you to look deformed. Just go for bigger and better. LOL
Hi Maria!!!! So good to have you back where you belong. And Ernie ... you and Linda are just angels. :-) Your place sounds sooo pretty and all that wonderful food. It really sounds like a paradise.
Oh please don't lets talk about dog hair and dust rabbits! LOL I've got sheets in the dryer and clean bathrooms. I did drag out the upright and do the carpet, but really need to do more ... naw.
Pati, I don't know about the butter ... but I sure do like that sour wood honey. I will probably get rotten tomatoes thrown at me for saying this, but I like it better than the clover and orange blossom that's so popular around here. *ducking and running*
~Elaine~
I'm ducking and running with you Elaine - I do love the sour wood honey. Its right up there with, but just behind, sorghum molasses!
ginni
IO1, Nothing is as good as Sourwood Honey!!! It's hard to come by though. I usually try to get some from the Farmer's Market in Hendersonville when I go home for a visit. It has a "twang" to it that sets it apart from the just plain sweetness of other kinds. I always loved to chew the leaves of the tree for the sour taste.
Scooter, catshead biscuits are BIG really fluffy biscuits. My family always made them with buttermilk.....don't know why they called them catshead, I guess that's what they were as big as! LOL
Pati
Now, picture all of us accumulating pet hair and sending it to one of our talented Coffee drinkers, and creating a Guinness Record breaking Dust Elephant!! I think I'm getting loopy from the heat....!
Interesting question about the sour butter...could it have been made from other than cow's milk? Possible that they put aside the cream until it curdled, or added a touch of vinegar or lemon to speed up the curdling? I know the butter we had had a brighter taste than store bought, and a more intense aroma.
Bal, what a question. Ask Sav and me, ice cream is a year round necessity, as is butter. I've sampled some of those health spreads they advertise, and there hasn't been one that came within a mile of the taste of real butter. And if you look at the ingredients, most of them are compounded and blended with products that you can't pronounce or decipher. I'll stick to the real kind, thank you very much. I still use lard for pastry too, there's nothing better for a flaky pie crust.
Which brings up Sammi, who has developed a taste for it, so the butter dish has to go in the cupboard now, unless we want to share. I haven't had a butter thief since Chelsea went over the Rainbow Bridge, she was addicted and would even try to open the cupboard if she knew it was in there. She also favored the water in vases, which usually resulted in the vase tipping over and water going everywhere. Then she would sit there wide eyed and innocent, with the "not me" expression on her face. And that brings to mind my poor aloe which I found lying on the dinette floor this morning. None of the cats has confessed, so I am blaming DH.
Sarv, that is some boat. I assume this is the family member that likes to ask you to keep an eye on their two teenage daughters? With money to burn, they could hire a temporary bodyguard for them instead of imposing on you. And your DM, getting onto the boat, what a good sport! Glad you had a great time. (Don't answer the phone for a while, I sense an urgent request for child care zinging over the phone lines!)
Oh, Bonnie, ouch!! TWO stings!! That must hurt. I assume you drowned the attackers....and I'll bet you never made better time in the water! The harvest showcase sounded wonderful, I can't get turned loose at the farmer's market without over buying, your market would be a greater temptation.
Scooter, you are "gonna miss fishing in Lake Geneva" ? Are you relocating to warmer climes? Leaving our fair state in search of good dirt, and a leisurely lifestyle? Or just wishing?
Welcome home Maria, so happy that you had such a terrific time with Ernie and his wife....Did Samson go berserk with joy when he saw you? I don't know how anyone can sleep on a plane, there's just not enough space to get comfortable. Ernie said you were delayed by a storm. I think you will sleep well tonight! Can't wait to see photos....
Tgif, I hate housework too, I try to avoid it so that it doesn't become a habit.
Time to make a grocery run, hope the deli is well stocked. ~~~~ as I zip out the door.
BTW, both the boys in the pic are deceased, but DS and I are still hanging around.
Sheila
Elaine, I have to agree about sourwood honey. I had only tasted clover and orange blossom until I moved to NC. Man, what a difference! My old housemate took 2 half gallons of it with her when she moved to Tulsa.
On Cat head bisquits, since Pati hasn't been back since this morning: (Well Preview showed she has checked in but I'll leave these links anyway.)

I took a ride out to explore a bit. Had a destination of an area of farmer's stands but couldn't find it (nor my directions before I left home). Stopped at the Chinese restaurant for take-out on the way home. While I was waiting, I got very amused looking at the lunch bunch. About 90% of them were Mexican, LOL.
Robert, since I'm not much of a sweet eater usually, I'd opt for homemade butter if I had to choose! I use a lot of butter, and Ghee when I can find or make it.
Bonnie, sorry about the bee stings but your story was funny! I'm like ginni... would still be in the hospital if I survived that long.
I have lots I should be doing but I really want a nap. Problem is that I'd be up all night if I did, but this sure is good sleeping weather.
BBL
Bonnie, Sanson is still at his hotel, will not get him till tomorrow
Another tid bit about the harvest showcase. Stopped at a booth that heirloom tomatoes, and they were offering tomato ice cream. Now does that take the cake or what? I didn't try it, as I am not an ice cream person, but that was unusual.
