New Gingers

I bought me some gingers from Paradise Plants nursery in Dayton,Texas....I am now waiting for it to quit raining here long enough for me to plant them in my yard..
Curcuma ' Purple Prince'
Curcuma ' Khymer Orange'
Curcuma rosecoena ' Pride of Burma'
Curcuma 'Scarlet Fever'
Hope they bloom for me sometime..lol

I love scarlet fever, been lusting after it for a while. Pprince is beautiful also. Good for you.

Did you get the Panama Purple from them also? do they mail?

I got my Panama Purple 2 years ago from Teas nursery... I am not sure about her shipping or not...I posted her phone info under Texas Gardening...Paradise Nursery. ..

what kind of luck are you having blooming your Panama Purple, since it is such a shy spring bloomer? Our Scarlet Fever bloomed very well this spring (as they weren't disturbed for over a year. Your Khymer Orange, Purple Prince and roscoeana 'Jewel of Burma' should both bloom for you this year if they are adult divisions or older tissue culture plants, if they're very young tissue culture they may not bloom for you this year or they may send up smaller than average inflorescence, this year.
I think for colorful foliage and beautiful inflorescence you can't beat Curcuma 'Raspberry' and then just for the foliage alone definitely 'Scarlet Fever.
