Trip to Honduras

Hi,

Just wanted to tell you guys my husband and I and 15 others from our church are going to be on our way to Honduras at 3:00 a.m. July 25 and will return the night of August 7.

My husband is a family practice doc and he will be setting up medical clinics in several areas that have not had medical care for a long time. These are people who have been made homeless by Hurricane Mitch. Most of the team going will be helping build houses and find fresh water supplies for the coastal Garifuna people.

Keep us in your prayers, if you would.

We have a house sitter who will be taking care of my kitties (our children) and my beloved gardens while we are gone...

I will try and take a lot of pictures and bring them back to share with you guys.

Have fun while I am gone and enjoy the beauty of summer in the garden....

Janiejoy - What a tremendous act of charity and love. I too have babies (cats) and I know how you must feel about leaving them for so long. I'm sure your sitter will look after them and your gardens and she will surely have help from above because contributions such as this are not left unrewarded. We will all be keeping you and your wonderful husband in our prayers and look forward to your return and all those great photos. God bless and guide you both every step of the way :-)

Wow, Jim, that is so wonderful, I never expected you to do that for me. I hope it can ship when we return!!!

I will be sure to take lots of photos and try to find some of neat plants that are there too... unfortunately they won't let me bring plants back but maybe seeds? I won't try it unless it's legal...
