Rhapsody at night

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Wow, look how dark she looks in this picture. I sure wish that was her color all the time. LOL

They are all beautiful day or night!!

They're beautiful Ada, especially the night shot. Congrats.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

just beautiful Ada. Can't wait for mine to grow up and bloom

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Rhapsody is gorgeous Ada. I love the shape and the color.
I really love that white seedling too.

Hagerstown, MD(Zone 6b)

It is deffinately a keeper Ada. Mine was just blooming but I had to cut it back to save it from sudden death. I don't know what happened. She just went floppy on me. The new growth from the trunk looks fine. I'm watching and waiting for it to grow back.

A beauty Ada!

Is it registered? Could NOT find it listed anywhere. Who are the parents, do you know?

Oh Ada, you have BLOOMS!!! I hope you have the best brug summer. You deserve it. Your Rhapsody is so pretty!

Those curley tendrils on your last seedling are so cute the way they supercurl!

Shenandoah Valley, VA

Gee, what a dog during the day. NOT! That's a beautiful brug, Ahelms.

Brookhaven, PA(Zone 6b)

Gorgeous! Mine has a Y :)

Huntsville, AL(Zone 7a)

Rhapsody is a beautiful one, for sure, Ada. I like the white, too. Very nice!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Thanks all. Rhapsody is Amber Rose X Butterfly. The white bloom is Pink Beauty X (Orange Sherbet X Rosamond seedling) This is the Orange Sherbet X Rosamond seedling. It's a poor picture of it. I'll look and see if I can find another picture.

Ada, they are all beauties for sure!!! You would never know that we have had such bad weather here in NC by the looks of them. They all look great!
Melanie

Dundee, OH(Zone 5b)

they are all simply gorgeous! Congrats!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Thanks Melanie and Laurrie.
Melanie, you can see the hail damage on all of my plants. The trunks of all of them have big ping marks from the big hail and holey leaves.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

All beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

Ada, they are all lovely. I would give about anything to see some blooms on my brugs. right now. With our heat, they have all dropped their buds, except for Dr. Suess. He keeps hanging on.

Patricia

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Patricia, we're having high heat and humidity also. This week the temps have dropped some but the humidity is terrible.

They are Beauties Ada!! Rhapsody sure has a deep rich color and held up quite well with the heat and humidity you are having. The white seedling is just whiter than white can be and so elegant looking. Congrats on such beautiful blooms with the weather conditions you are having.
I have been suffering here!! LOL
Four days in a row of over 100 degree temps. We are headed for a cooler week though. I'm thankful we don't have the humidity that you do.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Very pretty Ada!!!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Thanks Kin and CC.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh Kin, we are dying here too. Too hot for me and my plants. Poor you Patricia, you are so much hotter than we are here and we are too hot.

Ada, is your Orange Sherbet X Rosamond bloom huge like Rosamond? I love that soft color.

I saw on the news that you are suffering too Kell. I hope we all get a break.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Yes it's about the same size, Kell. It was one of Susie's crosses.

Kittrell, NC(Zone 7b)

Ada, hold on.....more storms coming our way. Mine also have hail damage, does it ever heal up? How is Carolina Charm doing? Please post pictures when you can.
Thanks,
Melanie

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Melanie, I don't think they ever heal. Just grow new leaves. Carolina Charm is doing great. She just won't put out any side shoots and I hate to cut on her. Hope the storms weren't too bad for you.

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

Beautiful brugs Ada. I'm glad someone is getting some bloom because i'm sure not gettin" any!!

I had a few blooms on mountain treasure, pumpkin had several full flushes, bert is coming into bloom and my 10 1/2 ft tall dbl peach has buds. Other than that, nothing!!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Thanks. I haven't had a whole lot of blooms. It's too hot and humid and all of the pollinations I did fell off.

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Ada Rhapsody is beautiful. I have 2 of her and I sure do home at least one blooms before long. We finally got out of our heat and it was actually cold today. Can't believe it after almost 2 weeks from 95 to 102. Don't know if that is what did it but my plants are all starting to Y and get buds. Finally.

Patricia, the one you sent me is really looking good. She is about 8 feet tall and I can't see that far up but she looks like she is going to bloom before long. If she does I will send you pictures.

Jeanette

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Jnette, I feel your pain with the heat. LOL We're having high heat and high humidity too. I have my seedlings lined up in the edge of the woods to keep them from tottally frying from the hot sun in those black plastic pots. The heat has been terrible in so many places this year.

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Yes it has Ada. I went out and bought a canopy to put my brugs under. They do like the heat but not that blasting hot sun. So the canopy works real well. Before I got it one of the tops on one had actually fried. It was so crisp I just had to crumple it off. They are doing better now.

Ada, do you know they have a paint out now that you can paint on plastic and you don't even need to rough it up? My daughter got me some that is terra cotta color. There are not many colors out but it won't be long. So, maybe we will be able to get more pastels. Altho, the terra cotta was not bad.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

JNette, I've seen the paints, just have decided to paint so many pots. LOL I have a canopy but no way would all my Brugs go under it. LOL

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

No, all of my brugs don't go under the canopy either but the ones that were in the full sun do fit. My problem now is that they are getting crowded and when they are like that they tend to contaminate each other with different kinds of bugs etc.

Maybe by next year they will have some different colors of the paint out. But, I really am thinking the terra cotta might just be what I want. And, in the spring I can do that and it will keep me from starting all of my seeds too early like I usually do.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

If I'm going to paint mine, I need to get started now. LOL I have my Brug seedlings in the edge of the woods for now.
