Trip to Florida

We are getting ready to leave for our first vacation to Pensacola, Florida (will be leaving on Tuesday evening). My children( 4 of them ages 5-15) and I are so excited. I was wondering if anyone could suggest some places we could go, besides the obvious (beach). I would especially like to know of any wonderful places to buy some tropical plants or some water plants.

Toadlilly, Hello, I was going to tell you a place we like to eat at when we go to Pensacola..but...since I see you are from TX...lol..it is a steak house called "Mesquite Charlie's" 904-434-0498. I bet it can't come close to ya'll steaks!!! HA! There is also a wonderful little town right outside of Pensacola called Milton. A beautiful place to go tubing down the rivier. If you want more info on the place, email me and I can send you info. Have fun! Oh..and please don't swim very deep in the gulf! Stay in shallow water..Lisa

Hey, I found a website all about the city of Pensacola and what is going on there, stuff to do, museums, stuff like that.

Janiejoy, Thanks for the link,I have been able to check out some place in Florida online, but web pages about places aren't really objective. I would like to hear form somone who has actually been there if I can. And I would love to hear of some places to buy some water plants while I am down there if anybody knows of any good places, jump in and let me know.
