I'm growing a lot of different types of morning glories and was wondering if someone could give me a brief rundown of which species will cross polinate with each other, if any.
Cross Polination Question
tbonewap -
1) Morning Glory plants which are wild and/or cultivars of the the same(!) species can naturally cross fertilize
2) Morning Glory plants that are different(!) species will not naturally cross fertilize
3) There are some very rare exceptions to the above 2 consistent truths, but the exceptions are all in the Batatas series and grown infrequently by home gardeners
A link to an exception
