For several years I tried to grow Itea, and it always looked horrible--weak and chlorotic. I tried the usual stuff. Mulch. Steady water. Sulfur. Fertilizer. Nothing seemed to help. Finally, I got fed up, declared it a terrible plant that cannot be grown well in my area, cut it down, put in something else, and moved on with my life. Of course, the Itea returned and now looks marvelous. No sign of chlorosis. Fresh, vibrant growth. Plants never cease to confound me.

Well, Scott, you might notice that the name "Itea" is of feminine gender!
Hee-hee-hee!

Guy, that all makes sense now. It is only when a woman begins to feel that you no longer want or need her that she begins to show a little effort! Just like Itea.

I can feel the rumble of IL howitzers lining up and training their sights on the Ohio River valley...
