moving photos

Is there any way to move a photo (or a copy of one, rather) from a journal entry, to the plant files? I have lots of photos in my journal that I am now realizing would be good for some plant in the plant files, but I can no longer find the originals. Can this be done?

I've done it, but not sure if it's the best way.

From my journal, I saved the photo to a disk by right clicking on the photo and choosing the save photo option, and then turned off the copyright in preferences before posting the photo to PlantFiles from the disk. This way the copyright isn't trying to add over the first one.
