Thanks everyone for the accolades on my AVs. I do grow them in natural light...I don't baby them much either. I am pretty new to growing them, so they are just tougher than I thought..lol. I have several others that are coming in from leaves I received from Chris, and several of those are variegated as well. I have the leaves on the porch in a small green house, but the others are inside on a table by a window that really doesn't receive much light..it has a northwest exposure I believe. but there are no curtains on the window at all. so it receives more light at the end of the day. Godd luck on the game! I am really having fun playing!

Nancy, this is our second Bingo game here on the forum, and we're having lots of fun with it!
The basic idea is that the person sponsoring the game posts a list with the names of 35 African violets (or other gessies) and a description of the prize they are offering to the winner. The prize could be anything from leaves or starter plants of the varieties on the list to a gift certificate for an AV vendor or any other AV related prize. Somebody else volunteers to "hold the cards" for that month's game. Each player chooses 15 names from the list and sends their "card" (list of 15 names) to the card holder. The sponsor draws one or more names each day and posts them. If all 15 of your choices have been picked & posted, post ASAP to say "BINGO!" The winner pays postage to receive the prize listed by the sponsor. (Hope I got all the details right.)
After this game ends, watch for an announcement of the next one!
This is also an active forum for trading, so if you notice somebody growing plantlets that you'd like to share, drop them a Dmail! :-)

How many days does it usually take to get a winner?
With 2 picks a day and 1 bonus call, it could take just 7 days if somebody gets really lucky!
Maybe somebody who plays Bingo on other forums could tell us if there's a "usual" number of days that the game runs. I'm figuring that since our 15 picks are a little less than half the list of 35, on average it would take a little more than 14 days (twice 7)... but somebody is bound to win in less time than that! LOL, I started trying to figure out the statistics, but it's late, and while I can do some kinds of math, I really stink at stats!
