****101 reasons****

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

After the riveting last couple of days we've had here, how would y'all like
to give Dave and Trish 101 reasons
why we love it here in DG, and the
last time I looked there was most
difinitely more than 101 of us. Ok?
Who wants to be first?

Jerrie

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Because of the atmosphere that's in the air here. Friendly people draw in friendly people. And the knowledge here is unsurpassed!!!!!!!!!

Perry, MO(Zone 5a)

The knowledge base is incredible, and as a newbie, I love reading the engaging exchanges that go on between members. Now that I've watched the threads for a while, I too am excited to hear about new grandchildren and flowers blooming that one never thought would! This is a great place to grow!

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Because of DG, I have met some wonderful new gardening friends - people I would never have discovered if it were not for DG bringing us together. (((((Hugs to Dave and Trish)))))

Allen Park, MI(Zone 6a)

Its like a family atmosphere; people willing to help and share with other gardeners. A great bunch of people.

A wonderful sense of community and caring....sharing ideas and knowlege,
the greatest site in cyberspace. Just
think, if we really were a virtual community how it would just buzz
with excitement and beauty.

Thank you for this web site, for all you wonderful people that know so much about gardening and love it as much as I do, and share all that you know. I am so grateful. God Bless!!!!

southeast, NE

Well ditto all the above - thanks!!!!!!! My favorite - I always seem to find something to chuckle at. DD or DH will walk past my office and wonder what I'm laughing at.

Trenton, MI

I have only recently been introduced to DG and I find myself irresistably drawn here. At Dave's garden I have discovered a community where I feel like I fit in. Everyone here wants to talk garden, but still have lives that are interwoven within their love of being home. People I work with all day long make me feel like I lead an excessively boring life because I want to be at home rather than out and about. I have spent many years making my home into a wonderful place, why would I want to leave it the few hours a week that I am not trapped inside a hot, dark factory? I cannot thank Dave and Trish enough for providing me with a forum filled with people who don't make me feel like I am dull and boring!

Circleville, OH(Zone 8b)

The dittos continue, and to have a place to laugh ,cry, be silly, learn, and to meet new and old friends. A (BLH) BIG LADYBUG HUG to Dave and Trish.I know I am nuts and glad I have found others that are as nutty as me. My padded room, chair,And DAVE'S GARDEN, how did I live without them. LOL

House work what's that? All I know is I garden all day and play at DG, you mean I have housework! HA! HA!

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Oh I agree with all above...... This is not just a place its a home...... Where there are people you love, laugh and cry and pray with......Its an escape a place to run when things are upside down in your world or when things are going just great and know you will find something to interest you from reading the post, chatting with friends and seeing everyones garden's to trading . And I have found it makes me get my house work etc done when I get in from work so I can have some time to run thur the post. So this has become my haven a place of escape from everything and a little time just for me each night. Selfish maybe but my whole day is focused on other people and doing the best I can for them so I figure a little time everynight for me is ok. lol

Nanaimo, BC(Zone 8b)

I grow here, this is a Garden of many Flowers, Without I will wilt and die;]

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

DG is more than just a place to exchange seeds and plants. It is a home with a very large family. It is where when you come in to visit you don't want to leave. It is where you feel comfortable and welcome. It is not just people, but friends, even if you've never met. It is where Dave and Trish unselfishly give their time and knowledge to make their family happy. And DG has the most generous, caring, knowledgable, and friendly group of people which is the reason why once you have visited you are no longer a stranger but a friend.

Nanaimo, BC(Zone 8b)

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

DITTO -DITTO-DITTO. JUST A REAL FUN PLACE TO GO WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN!!!

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Good people. Good discussions. Good information. AND the only gardening I can do in the middle of the night and not even get my nails dirty!

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Zany, but how I dearly love to get my hands in that warm, silky soil, feeling
it lovingly caressing my fingers....ah !

Hugs

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

There are a lot of knowledgable people here thank goodness. Right now I have lost all my potted tuberous begonias, have idea why, I have the lamium that ate North Carolina in my rock garden, my cleomes are still only one foot high, the rose campion got so much bigger than I expected that they are covering everything up on the level above them, the annual lobelia died off during a rainy spell, the cannas hate the rock garden, my rose is grumpy and sulking, as is the ice plant, my winecup must be 10 feet long but all lost and twining around the rose campion, I am FINALLY getting some reaction out of the campanula, wax begonias ae o.k., purple bee balm are blooming but really lanky and apparently need staking, but I do have tons and tons of beautifully blooming impatiens. Whew! What a jungle!

Grandview, TX(Zone 7b)

I love DG because I don't have to be afraid of what I say here. I can speak my mind and although evreyone might not always agree with what I say, I am free to give my opinion without the threat of *D* land, or that someone will be cruel if I have a question and ask for help. The members here are SO NICE! I also love all the wonderful people I have met here. Some of the most caring, sharing, friendly, knowledgeable people I know!
Thanks Dave and Trish for a terrific site!

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Made some really good friends - feels like I have known them all my life. We even get to chat on the phone now and I will actually be meeting some of them very soon. The wealth of info available is tremendous and am extremely grateful for the advice I have received. The sharing is the best though, we share everything - smiles, laughter and tears, our successes, our failures. Our racked-with-pain days and the days when we feel on top of the world, our plants and our seeds. I'm so thankful to be here :-)

Thank you Dave and Trish, can only think of 1 comment that hasn't been made thus far,"the more I think I know, the less,I know'"

In other words, you can never learn it all, always something new on the horizon' I have surffed(sp) the net quite awhile and nearly threw in the trowel, when wallah,"HEREEEEE'S DAVE'S GARDEN" That was it for me,no more lookin'

At this point, DH is now considering getting another pooter and lettin' me have this one,LOL Think now I need to get another eye exam as my poor eyes are a gettin' pretty red from soooo much reading'LOL Thanks again Dave and Trish for your love of gardening and letting the rest of us join in and keep thinking up MORE work for you to do on this,The Greatest of all Gardening Sites'''Keep up the good work''Sis''

Silver Lake, OH(Zone 5b)

I love that I can "watch" a thread and keep up with people's generous responses to queries and posts of all kinds.

I love that it is obvious that this is a community-- and people really care about each other.

I love that it is a place where I learn and learn and can ask stupid questions and nobody laughs at me (at least I can't see them laughing, hehehe) and I can grow.

I love that it inspires me to do the best I can in my little garden portion of the world...

Thank you, Dave & Trish, for creating this safe space in which to learn.
