I found a bunch of them on just one of my dahlias. They seem to be sucking water from the stems of the flowers. They make a funny pop sound when you squish them..... They are tiny - about 1/8 inch across.

Is that a voo do lily type flower? If it is I have never seen one that didn't attract bugs.

It is a dahlia. I thought aphid were green...?

Definitely aphids. BTW, they can be green, red, orange, or black depending on the species.
