I think the Messenger/Blue Picotee Saga was an amazing coincidence. I sprayed the Blue Picotee again with messenger when I had buds that were to open the next day and they came out normal.

Messenger is a plant spray that is suppose to make the plant grow faster and have better immunity against disease.

I sprayed my Blue Picotee with messenger and the next day deformed flowers started occuring.
