I saw this at my friends new house and she doesn't know what it is either. I would love to have one of these. I will post a close up of it next
Please help me identify this awesome shrub
Wow it is very pretty! I dont know what it is though! I want one too!!!
Looks like a purple sage to me.
Very pretty.........I wish I knew.
It looks like the pics of Texas Sage (Leucophyllum frutescens) although I can't say I've ever seen it in person.
I think you are right. I did some internet research and ended right back here at Daves.

Her bush has gotten quite tall. I had searched through other sages too and none of them looked like it. Well finally I have an answer. Thanks!
These are great and the show here is wonderful - well worth it - just keep its feet on the dry side.
It is Texas Sage. Needs well drained soil and I'm not sure how far north it's cold hardy.
Yup, Texas sage for sure. Very pretty and tough too.
This A & M link has more information on Texas Sage

I'm in North Texas, just outside Dallas and Texas Sage is winter hardy here. What a beauty it is after a rain when the blossoms pop. This has been a wonderful addition to my landscape.
