I have a Silver-Edge Tatarian Dogwood. I noticed that a few of the leaves have black spots on them. Many leaves with the dark/black spots have a fallen off of the tree. I just purchased the young tree this year. What is the problem and how can I resolve the problem?
Thanks!

Discula anthracnose?
Where did you plant your Cornus alba?
Thank you Equilibrium for replying!
I planted it in a large plastic pot.
It may have been sold to you with an infection but you might have stressed it by planting it in a patio pot which which would have made it vulnerable to pathogens. Could be basic transplant shock but I don't think so. I've never tried to grow a shrub like that in a container.
Here's hoping others take a look see. I'd hold off doing anything until some of the heavy hitters comment after viewing your leaves. Me, I'm inside today with a flu bug and was sort of bumping you back up so your thread got noticed when people started coming inside from gardening.
