I have a pot that became the "junk drawer" of loose & extra seeds without a home. Several things have come up that I recognize, others are quite alien. I do recognize several large crimson sunflowers and the morning glories. Unfortantely the morning glories won't develope blooms (soil too rich?). Because they are so deeply entangled with all the other sprouting surprises I can't remove them safely to less fertile soil. Is there anyway to take a clip of the mg and get it to sprout it's own roots for transplant? I'm hoping since many consider it invasive (in some areas) that it might be this simple to get it to grow....
Poorly planned pot
No buds on the one, but the other has had a bloom, once or twice. I might try a cutting, can't hurt (I hope). I slid everything out of the pot today, and found that the bottom 2 inches were nothing but roots. I kept the morning glories and the sunflowers (crimson) and kept as much intact as possible and moved it to a sunny spot in the yard, along a fence. If the problem was overly-rich soil, it's been solved. LOL
all my MGs are in very rich soil and are amazing... ?
I did the same thing! but all mine are MG's and I used Miracle-Gro for them.... I guess I will do some reading!
It will be fun to do a seed pot like that!
It's been interesting. I think I've really been a nuisance in the identification forum. Trying to figure out all the mystery seeds. LOL
