Dybbuk, I have a feeling you're hopelessly addicted to the oddballs of nature. I hope you have about a square mile of land to grow all these unusual things, and a winning lotto ticket to pay for them!

Unfortunately I don't have much land and many of these trees are grown in pots, then hauled into a garage in winter. I keep them for as long as I can and those I don't plant get transferred to my parents farm in Michigan. They live on 20 acres and they just cleared out the yard of a bunch of old big trees that needed to be removed. My mom loves the weirdos too so she's happy become stepmother. Its fun to visit them and see what they've become.

Lombard is much closer than Michigan and you can come over and visit your trees anytime you want. I have the perfect spot for that dawn redwood (just have to chop down a horrible Siberian Elm first) or that Ginkgo with the needle like leaves.
