Here's another one I thought I'd share.

My copy of Diseases of Forest and Ornamental Trees has a photo of a pine just like that, labelled 'Potassium deficiency'.

So maybe adding a little potassium nitrate might get it to colour up properly

Now Resin, be kind. Dybbuk will be going in two directions now. Either abusing all those little trees to see what new weirdness he can coax out of the little buggers or maybe he will nurse them all back to health. Think of it "varied directions" will become straight, pendulous forms will regain their correct posture, the ginko will actually grow ginko leaves, and "4th hand"/"Fort Ann" will become sound of limb and leader. :>} Ken

Nah...I'm just letting Mom Nature do her own weird stuff for me. Then I'll treat the freaks with the love and kindness they deserve. Freaks need love too...

I'm curious dybbuk, do you have room for all these unusual plants?
Do you plant to consider their mature size, or are you a "picture window planter"?
Surely you don't buy them all up just to say you have them.

I have quite a few properties here in Chicago where I plant them. Some I take to my parents farm in Michigan. They have a huge yard and my mom loves them. Some I keep in containers until they're ready to be out on their own.
