My daughter just received her notice from the National FFA Organization that her application was approved for her American FFA Degree. So we're planning a trip to Louisville, KY so she can receive her degree in person and Mom and Dad can watch in person and take pictures and, of course, shed a few happy tears.

Congratulations!!!!!!She must be on cloud 9. Very happy for her.

Brag away! I think thats great you must be very proud of her.

Congratulations to her and you

Thanks for the congrats. Actually, FFA was changed from “Future Farmers of America” to the “National FFA Organization” to recognize the growth of agriculture and
agricultural education to include careers in the science,
business and technology of agriculture. There are now several chapters in urban areas across the US. The American FFA Degree is the highest degree of membership, which a member can attain, and only about one half of one percent of the total national membership of the organization attain this high honor. The application is quite extensive and requires many hours of work on a "proficiency" as well as hours committed to the organization. Her proficiency was her work in a diversified livestock entrepeneaurship. (In other works, lots of nagging, hair pulling, and worrying.)
