Hi Everyone,
I have a really old lilac bush (a tree really). Every year I have the same problem about 50 to 100 suckers growing in a circle around the tree. Although the folks on freecycle seem to love getting free lilac plants I'm getting a little tired of digging them all up. Is there any way to stop this from happening. I thought about putting rocks around the bush but than I think I'd still have suckers and not even be able to dig them up cause rockes would be in the way.
Any ideas?
Thanks,Sue
Lilac suckers-Any advice?
You could try landscaping fabric covered with rocks or mulch.
Deer?
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the advice. It looks like digging and gifting might be my only choice. :)
I do like that deer idea though!~
Sue
