i am needing(not) a something beautiful in the pinky red (smallish ) area.....i only have 3 hours of sun a day....will a crepe myrtle work and bloom?? this is my potential mockup...
Crepe myrtle little sun can they do well on??
They need more sun than that to really bloom well--I did have one that the previous owners of my old house had planted under the shade of a 20 foot ash, so it got nice sun in the winter and early spring before the ash leafed out, but during the summer it got a little morning sun and not much else. One year it didn't bloom at all, the next two years I got it to have a couple of flowers but definitely not a spectacular display.
Looks like a good spot for a hydrangea.
