Grandson and frog

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

I just received a call from my 7 year old grandson. He was crying, broken hearted as he could be. I gave him a little frog catching gismo for his birth day a couple of weeks ago. He had finally managed yesterday to capture two frogs and he was thrilled. Somehow they got out during the night. He said he left them in the bathtub. They have just moved into their first home a month ago. I bet Mommy is upset. But think how happy she will be when they locate the frogs. Jim

Oh yeah Jim, shes going to be thrilled!!! LOL. Hope she finds them before your grandson does :)
Children who came to visit from Fla. brought a stowaway with them. Found a tiny baby lizard on a stack of magazines. Its alive and doing well. Just hoping that was the only one!!
Good luck with the frogs. Please let us if/when found.

Daughter-in-law is hoping that hubby put them out this morning before going to work. What did you do about the lizard. Jim

tiG she can't get to mad at me. I'm her free hired hand in her garden. I moved all the plants from where they moved from and things out of my yard trying to get her started. It is so hard starting from nothing. Jim

I wish I could do that! My SIL used to do landscaping (he just planted, not planned) and he has a set idea of what he wants. Problem is, he isn't doing anything, and he doesn't really care for flowers, he wants trees and shrubs!!! So all I could share with her, I can't:(
Your daughter-in-law is very lucky!!!!

I tell her that each time I knock on the door and ask for a drink of water. I am lucky also. We get along great. Jim

The Rest of the story. I went to pick up my grandson for a treat at Mcdonald's and this is the rest of the story about the two frogs. My daughter-in-love said that when she checked on Jamie last night while he was in the tub he had the curtain pulled , which was unusual for him. She asked if he had the frogs and he said yes so she opened the curtains and not only did he have the frogs but a lizard as well. She made him put them back in the cage and then she put them out on the patio. That was where they disappeared and not in the house. A lesson I learned today that I didn't know yesterday is lizards can swim according to Jamie. Jim

So it wound up that he not only had two frogs but a *Lizard* as well? Guess those lizards just pop up everywhere, hey Jim?
MY lizard is doing very well. Have him in a tank and is ok. Thanks for asking.

Janice. The good thing is the lizard is back out in the wilds. We hope anyway. I guess you think about your childrens visit with the lizard as a reminded. Children and grandkids also can really create memories. Jim

Jim
We plan on sending our lizard back into the wilds also. He made a big trip from Florida to New York and we dont really feel the little guy would like our winters. In August he goes back with the children he came with. And yes, children certainly do make memories.

I wouldn't be surprised if your grandson is out catching more frogs and lizards this weekend. ;o)

He spent the afternoon with me and he caught grass hoppers and crickets. Couldn't find any frogs or lizards. However, he was looking. Jim

Just be glad it's only frogs & lizards, my 8 year old grandson has a thing for bumbees. Last summer he trapped many with a fruit jar - said he only got stung twice!!! I think he got over any fear of them while visiting our house - we have an annual invasion of Carpenter bees which look vey similar but we told him they don't sting and he cant tell the differece. A tough little kid that one.
