Ft Worth Zoo
Ok so this is the last one... this was in the Texas Native area with a bunch of the last few, they had sooo many natives in this area and got to talk to on of the garden planners and said they wanted to be 70/30 in three years with natves so I cannot wait to see all that looking good and going up there!
Thanks for coming with me - enjoyed your company and hope you got to live a little of the zoo and the plants and animals that are there.
Mitch
Mitch,
Just beautiful shots!!! I LOVE ZOOS!!! I try to go in every city I've lived in!!! The Denver zoo was wonderful, Colorado Springs lets you hand feed giraffes and others. I have passed by the Dallas zoo and it looks incredible with that huge bronze giraffee statue standing guard...but always there for work so not had time, I know what you mean about the traffic up that way! WOW!
The zoo in San Antonio is fairly nice to. And if you visit the Riverwalk, going inside to the RiverCenter Mall they have a info booth with free pamphlets and you can get a $2 off for up to 6 people at the SA Zoo coupon. I'd forgotten to take mine the day I went! But it's still reasonable at $8 a person. Take quarters...they have vending machines with "fish food" and large pond areas with fish that will almost eat from your hand!!!
Thanks, Mitch, for the tour. Loved the kids, the plants and, of course, the animals.
We go to zoos wherever we go on vacations and really enjoy the peace and beauty.
If you ever get a chance to stop in the Dallas zoo let me know - Chis loves to head up there..
So you pass right by my garden and dont stop eh? lol
So Mitch I guess the old song "It's all Happening at the Zoo" is true! Good pics.

Mitch - we stayed in San Marcos and travelled north as far as Austin (loved it), out to the German countryside towns (just wonderful) and down to San Antonio and the Riverwalk and walked the town for hours - great. It was all back in 2003, long before I even had a computer or knew DG or met you online!
Sure does - everything is at the Ft Worth zoo or so it felt!
Arlene - 2003.. I sure was here but no yard or gardens then - bought the house in 2004..
Thank you for the tour Mitch, who were those kids with you and Chi?
Our good friends Chris and Kelly's ... thankyou.
We have been wanting to go the the zoo, but it has been so hot and with my back problems, not sure I could hold up to all the walking. Thanks for sharing the fun!!.
