Finally....here come the white "finger nails" I've been waiting for. Right now the tree kind of glows in the dark. Enjoy!
'Jack Frost' Metasequoia
Very cool. Reminds me some of "Gentsch White" Tsuga canadensis.
Scott
Yeah, that is cool. Somebody has a taste for unusual trees!
Will
Yup. I'm a freak for the oddballs. Must say something about myself. Yikes....
Well, they say people's dogs tend to look like them.
Hmmmmm . . .
Do you have white fingernails and glow in the dark?
Guy S.
Only when the voices tell me to.....
Dybbuk, me thinks someone is going to have to move to the burbs with a big yard when your trees start getting large. That or find someone who can properly care for them out in the western burbs...
I'm sorry but I also love the unusual trees!! I really getting into the conifers. Where do you get your goodies from?
Your fingernails are fabulous!
I am an avid customer with forestfarm.com, pendulousplants.com, colllectorsnursery.com for online shopping. Yesterday I had an act of spontaneous adventure and drove (3 hours with horrible traffic) to Rich's Foxwillow Farms. They have the largest conifer operation in the country. Unbelieveable stuff. I wandered around for hours. Even after they closed they said I was welcome to stay. They had some of the most interesting trees I've ever seen. Tons of variegated conifers. Also some very unusual contorted and weeping trees too. I was like a kid in a candy store. I bought a few things but ran out of time as they were closing. I am going back this week to dive in again. I'm a Ginkgo collector and they had some I'd never heard of: "Tit", "Ding-a-Ling" and one called "Mutant Weeper". They'll be mine next week.
