Rain? what rain?

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8b)

lol..'zactly... :)

Lumberton, TX(Zone 8b)

Oh, how I love rain, and how I'd love to send this your way, you central Texans! It's so wet here there is no need to bathe. I've about turned into a prune. But I love it. Just a little ticked that the guy who is supposed to put up my gutters so I can set up rain barrels hasn't shown up yet. My pond liner is almost full, and it's about 18 inches deep or so.

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

We got a some rain the last few days! Hallelooooo! I did a "Happy Rain Dance" yesterday when it started pouring. I'll know soon if my plants did the same dance.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8b)

lol konkrete....wasn't it wonderful? My plants did an itty bitty rain dance themselves... ;)

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes, it was wonderful! It was also one of those moments when I think "...I've turned into my parents/grandparents!" LOL!!

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8b)

lol..I know what you mean.. I've seen my grandparents and parents go outside and stare at the sky...wanting SOMETHING to happen... :)

Lumberton, TX(Zone 8b)

TirNanOg is right! I worked in the yard yesterday in the rain, then sat on the patio and watched it rain, then worked some more, then watched some more. We've had more rain so far in July than we did all of June. I mean, it's soggy out there. But I love rain. It drives me crazy when weather forecasters mention rain like it's some kind of plague... "another bad day..." I wish they'd hire me to do the forecasts. I love sunshine, too. Don't like disasters more than anyone else does. I have the "other" weather disorder -- where you get depressed if the weather stays the same for long periods. And summer wears thin down here after about five months...

My DH looked at me strange when I told him I want it to rain so I can play in the yard. It is much cooler when it is raining on you and the mosquitoes aren't biting.

And I get the weirdest looks when I tell people I am trying to get someone (MOODENE) *Hint *Hint* to mail me piggy poo to make some piggy poo tea.

Daisy tell mommy it is time to send aunt ilovejesus99 some of your precious poo poo : + ) < >

west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

We haven't had rain in over a week here--but I'm typically on the 'dry side' (west) of Houston. I'm pretty thankful for all the rain we've had, but my lot has excellent drainage. The trees, shrubs, and turf grass hasn't looked this good in at least 5 years around here.
