Kellifornia Gold!

I have been playing with names and I think I may call my brugs all Kellifornia. Do you think that is too corny? LOL

She has a broad base and a girly girl skirt. Her shape is my favorite double so far.

She starts out white and then turns a golden apricot color starting with her inner skirt.

I hope you all like her as much as I do.

kell she is Fantastic. I love the delicate color and the frilly skirt, why do you keep me so fired up about brugs. *LOL*

Doris

Hagerstown, MD(Zone 6b)

She's georgous Kell. She is what I call "all dressed in formals and ready for the ball" since her skirt looks like a frilly dress. I think Kellifornia ? would be perfect. Congrats.

Hi Kell...
Beautiful brug & a good mixture of colors around the brugs.

I don't if the name sounds corny or not but everyone will know where they came from. LOL
Jerry.

Grand Forks, BC(Zone 5b)

I think the name is very appropriate. Not corny at all. Go for it!
Beautiful Blossoms.

Kell, congratulations, she is gorgeous. The frilly shape reminds me of the first petticoat I had as a little girl.

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Nice lighting and backdrop there Kell!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Kellifornia Gold! LOVE IT I think you should go for it. As always beautiful pictures and a beautiful plant.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

THANK YOU ALL! A lot of the brugs I have, I really do not love. I am more into form actually than color. This one's form is so appealing to me as well as the color. It is called luck!!!

Here she is this morning, much darker.

Well thats another beauty for ya Kell. And no I don't think the name Kellifornia is Corny, it goes with you. I think you should go for it, and start your own line.

thanks again for the photo....

Northern California, CA(Zone 9b)

I like Kellifornia, especially if we pronounce it with a strong Austrian accent like our Governator.

Very nice shape. Is it going to be gold or pink. The last shot looks pink.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

I really like the shape of this one especially as shown in the second picture. . . very pretty flower. I see a pink tinge coming through also.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Kellifornia lol definitely corny, beautiful bloom.

Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

What is not to love about the bloom. LOL! I wish they all could be Kellifornia Girls.

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

So pretty and fluffy sigh... what X said!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

It does look PINK! I made a double PINK!!! LOL.

It wanted to give us all a thrill. LOL

It is actually darker than the picutres, my camera seems to be going lighter in color.

To clarify, it only looks pinkish in the photo, no pink in reality!

Might have to go with Kellifornia Koral (Coral)

It's a beauty for sure!! I love the name also Kell. Go for it.
You photos are magnificent as always. I also think I may have ruined my camera the colors are not as good. I think when I was taking some pics against the sun it may have done something to it. Darn I might need to get a new one...He he heee

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NO!! I didn't know you could ruin it that way Kin, though I didn't know leaving it in a hot car fried it also until Barbara mentioned it.

My favorite time to take pictures is before the sun shows bright in the early morning. I think they come out the best then, and they are the clearest.

THANK YOU everyone. It is funny, I am not usually so invested emotionally to a plant but I really like this one. So all your kind praise means a lot to me.

Did anyone notice my Summer Chocolate tree? A recent acquisition. I am hoping I can make it happy here with me. I had been flirting with it madly in every nursery I saw it in since it first came onto the scene. But I felt a 20 ft tree was a ridiculous thought. Then I jumped into the I need it stage and occasional visitations would no longer suffice. The color just adds a whole new dimension to my courtyard. I hope it will be content to be confined to a pot forever.

Whenever I look at her the music starts ............
Isnt she lovely
Isnt she wonderfull
Isnt she precious

Very pretty, Kell. I love the Chocolate tree.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Have never heard of or seen a chocolate tree, but I love it! So unique.

Is the chocolate tree part mimosa tree?? The little colored fan looks like a mimosa. My favorite Golden girl was named Mimosa, but for the cocktail punch, orange juice and champagne, which was just about her color. I go on and on more than anyone. Your brugs, these delicious doubles are delightful. Kelliefornia isn't corny, it's very funny and fun, I love it!!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Hello again Jerry! You are too funny! LOL! Fancy meeting you here.

Linda, I have posted pics in the past years but this year I have not gotten the place together enough to do so. And my main courtyard focus this summer was to be a Floating Cloud Janpanese Maple, but it is too white to withstand the sun and it is burning, so woe is me. I have to scramble now for a new look to my color tapestry I am weaving. I may get done in September the rate I am going. And anyway, it is a tiny courtyard and not very great when I look around Dave's.

Here is a local write up on the Summer Chocolate tree, don't you love the name?? I stole the link from Sue. LOL their picture is poor though. It is a rich rich rich color.

Here is Kellifornia Gold today. I think she is now actually is gold in color. Living up to her name. I just packaged her to go to Texas so we shall see how she trials there too. Here she gets no wilt at all even on the hot days we are having lately.
