AL - quit posting under Dave's name....
What are you eating out of your garden?
Sure, it's possible. We had a Trader Joe's spring up like magic a few years ago.
I've got one growing next to the mall. I love it!
We don't have them. Please send seeds!
Ditto!
Danbury/Stamford and Bridgeport were all I could locate but I was sure there was one around Westport.
More are probably germinating as we write.
There is one in Westport and in Orange, on the Post Road.
Westport! Love the town and Seminara's restaurant - super excellent!
I can take cuttings from the one in Orange! Ivy, I'll get some for you.
Make sure they're well rooted!
and I would suggest curbing your drinking...hic!
There is one in West Hartford, near Westfarms Mall.
Also the New York store delivers......
What makes them so special?
Unusual produce and frozen foods.
Trader Joes - speciality food market with a small, but utterly fresh selection of of slightly ethnic foods - fresh produce - limited but the highest quality - organic choices when possible - organic and free-range meats - complete selection of raw and processed nut meats and dried fruits including exotics. Variety of dairy products including large selection of Soy and Rice "milk" products. Limited, but complete selection of household products - soaps, paper goods, pet food - mostly under the Trader Joe's brand - all high quality. Return policy - no questions asked - full refund even if you ate all or part of it! In states without minimum pricing for liquor - Trader Joes carries liquor, beer and wine from all over the world. In the beers and wines - mostly short run lots and really unique brews and vintages. All this with prices often lower than the big box groceries.
It's a great little store - check them out! http://www.traderjoes.com/
Wow Al - I've dug everything up already and your tomatoes still look great!
Thanks everyone for the info on Trader Joe's. Maybe I'll travel to Orange this weekend.
Good for you to still have food growing, Yankee!
It's a fine crop of rocks you are growing too! (That's how you can tell you've moved to New England!)
