What do you use?

What do you all use to stake up your really tall lilies?

I plant deep and have seldom staked lilies. Haven't staked any the past 3-4 years. I'm interested in reading what others do.

I've read that some folks use rebar for lilies that are way to tall for standard supports.

I use 1 x 2s for the really tall ones, taller than 5 or 6 ft. Sometimes tall bamboo sticks if they are on sale.

Shorter ones I use bamboo sticks, old hockey sticks, old broom sticks.

I grow the tall ones in the back yard, which is more protected from the winds.

Bamboo sticks are my favorite & it's a bonus that it is a very renewable resource! They come in all sizes too.
