I bought a mixed bag of lily bulbs last fall from Walmart or Kmart last year. They were supposed to be shades of pink. Apparently, they are color blind. ;-) Tamara

You've heard the saying "you get what you pay for". Well sometimes you don't even get that. I don't care for that shade of pink myself.
You are lucky that it is a pretty lily (to me). Echoes is not an orange affecionado.
Actually, I have too much orange at the moment. I really love Compass, a quite early bloomer and could not live without I think Ct. Yankee. Have about 25 stems of Evening Star so time to give it to people in the neighbourhood methinks. Don't have room for such a large clump. Am waiting for Orania, a fab. LA.
In fact, all my hems except Stella d'Oro and Cdn. Border Patrol will be moving into the Guerrilla Garden when they finish blooming. I want the bed.

Wish I could send this beaut to you, Inanda ~ a mistake from Lily Garden. I'm not a fan of orange either and this is blinding when the sun shines on it.

Someone, please send Zone5girl some pretty pink lilies.
I would if that dang orange was pink like it was supposed to be!! LOL
It's not that the flower isn't pretty...it just isn't pretty in MY garden. ;-) It sticks out like a sore thumb because it's next to a deep pink shrub rose and the colors clash. When the season is over, I will be digging it up and freecycling it. Tamara
I couldn't agree more. About the only 'hot' color I like in the garden is pink.
Same thing happened to me:) It was supposed to be a bag of Pink Parfait mixed lilies but all I got was orange. I like them but already have alot of orange. I work at WM so I knew the odds weren't in my favor but they were very end of season and I got each bag of lilies for like 25cents each so I couldn't say no:)
I intend to buy my lilies from much better sources from now on since I would like some color variety in the garden...to complement all the orange:LOL:
