Photos of Garden Statutes
Maddio-- I love the cupid/putti!!! Is it a birdbath?
Maddio,
The pot counts!!! Beautifully decorated and placed!
Maddio, some very classic designs. Beautiful!
Maddio, very elegant! Please tell you daughter I said "Hello". Does she garden?
Dave
Oh, Maddio, the second statue is sooo beautiful!
Every photo is just beautiful and can give us all great ideas.
I did see one interesting one at a nursery and do have a photo but..........it's a nude and this thread seems so nice, so pleasant, so relaxing that I can't find it to end this lovely peaceful feeling.
Pirl, You may wannt to post it on the "erotic statuary" thread in the "Stone Lovers Anonymous" forum.
Aha! See, "I don't get around much any more". Thanks, Dave!
Thanks, everyone, for all the nice comments. Dave, my daughter does NOT do dirt. They moved into this nice house with a lot of landscaping already done almost two years ago. Needless to say, every time I'm there, I spend the whole time weeding and pruning, taking up sod and mulching. The evergreens in the front have been dying. I figured that one out when I got in there and discovered (1) no mulch and (2) they turned off their automatic irrigation system last year because they don't like the noise it makes at night! What can I say. I'm trying to slowly educate my son-in-law. He is interested, just not home much, and when he is, all he wants to do is play with the kids. Can't argue with that. This last time I added some shrubs to the front border. I discovered Van Wilgens! I wish we had something comparable around here. And last week I discovered Wilbur & King. Enjoyed just strolling around there.
Sorry for going on, but like I said, I'm happy to know how to post pictures. I'm just going to have to write the first part down, what she did after I handed her the camera. As much as she doesn't do dirt, I don't do computers, and if I don't write it down, I'll never remember.
Have a great day, everyone. The sun is out!!!! Maybe things will dry out a little before it rains again. If you've seen the pictures on TV, the Binghamton area flooded like crazy this week. Glad we're on higher ground.
Maddio, glad you didn't get hit by the flooding. We're just north of the Erie/Niagara county border and the worst of it has gone by southeast of us. but there was a tornado touch down in Cheektowaga yesterday, which is a Buffalo suburb. Very unusual around here. we've just had a lot of thunderstorms and hail. good day today, though.
Maddio, Oh well. There go my plans for another gardening buddy. I spend a lot of time at Van Wilgen's & at Wilbur & King. There is another nursery that is organic & small (Natureworks). The owner lead 1 hour to 1&1/2 hour garden walks for free through her gardens every Thurs. evening & Sat. morning. I always learn something new. Let me know if you are ever here & interested.
Dave
Sounds great Dave! Will do.

Good point, pirl. Now, there's a garden that invites you to take a walk and linger! Just lovely.
Beautiful Pirl!
(Blushing) Thank you.
pirl,
By any chance do you call that "The Dream Garden" ? Cause im dreaming mine will look that way someday. (sigh)
Thank you you pirl! I think she is just beautiful!!!
Thanks.
So does Neptune, but you know how dads are!
Lovely, Pirl. Both the statue and the garden.
Pirl - What a wonderful face - she is beautiful. Kay
Thanks. Now if the plant will just live. It gets no sun at all so I'm trying a yellow impatiens this year. Just planted her yesterday and I'll post again if she ever fills out.
If not, next year will be silk ivy plants.
