Here's my gal before yesterdays rain
More First Blooms!!
Beautiful pics, Michael!!!
LOL, Michael! I do have a 'La Florida' seedling and am crossing my fingers for flowers with scent and color, but just scent will be fine! LOL! 'La Florida' is the result of an interspecific cross between P. pudica (seed parent) and P. rubra (pollen parent). So far, the seedlings of 'La Florida' have the leaves of P. pudica, but I am hoping for a pink scented flower to go with those leaves! Great pics, Michael!
Clare,
If she has no scent but is a beauty,
Please consider me a second home for her if youll be moving her on.
This is an exciting new hybrid in my book.
My 'Pumpkin Pie' seedling is pushing a first inflo!! WOOT!! 8^D
'Pumpkin Pie' is an Australian fruit salad variety
Most of them are named because of thier scent.
Here is another of my absolute favorites
Princess Victoria and she keeps showing her color splash
She is also still rooting otherwise her flowers might be bigger.
Edited to add: I almost forgot to say, I always think 'Victoria Secret' LOL!!
I dunno why, could it be the seductive pinks and reds? ;^P

What pretty petal shapes your Princess Victoria has, Michael!!
She is quite unique
I love the star shaped petals too.
I just saw her in Stokes Tropicals Catalog $299.00!!
OWCH!!
My buddy won 2 on e-bay and gave me one. 8^D
Nice pics Mal good job..
The princess victoria will grow fast so watch her root ball or you will slow her down..
I like the smell too which was a surprise to me..
I see the color break trying to come out on one of those flowers it won't be long until
you see more of them..
The rain keeps killing my color breaks i dare not post a pic of her,not a pretty sight!
Thanks man,
I have had color on several blossoms already.
Its nice, real subtle, not overwhelming.
Congrats on your inflos, Michael! Thanks for sharing those pics:-)
I just noticed inflos on 2 more seedlings today
That makes 12 blooms ill see before the year is out, God willing
Michael,
That is an awesome Slaughters Pink!! :)

Very nice Mal..
What was the one flower called with the purple in it?
Michael - I'm so thrilled for you!!! You've got to be excited!!!
Hey Suki,
The Slaughter Pink is Paulas Slaughter Pink from PlumeriaLady.
After she grows in a little bit, Ill be gifting a real nice cutting of her to a friend who loves it also.
Lopaka,
If you meant this one, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v515/Malestrom22/Seedlings/Lanna%207-06/07010003.jpg
It is a seedling of Lanna that I have been babying since its germination on Jan19th 2005.
If her colors hold to the current beautiful pattern with purple,
Ill be naming her 'Inspiration' after a dear friend.
Chantell,
I am very excited!! I have 2 more seedlings of my own that have inflos on them!! WOO-HOO!! 8^D
Suki,
Hi there!! Just wanted to let you know the Duke cutting I got from you a few months ago is doing great...all kinds of leaves on it now...thank you again so much!! You were so patient with all my questions regarding scent. I appreciated that so much!!
Chantell
Michael,
That is fabulous of you! You're so sweet.
Chantell Hi,
You're too kind, thank you so much. I'm glad you're doing so well with your Duke. When it's in bloom, it will knock your socks off. The scent and color is intense. Can't wait to see pics! I had fun communicating via email with you. I'll be looking forward to sharing here with you. Mahalo nui loa for your support!
Gorgeous, gorgeous blooms Michael! Beautiful colors and I can just imagine that the scents of all of them bloomly must be heavenly! Where do you get the Australian seeds? I have about 5 plumies but haven't seen any bloom yet. I'm hoping that I can see some blooms this year. They all have been overwintered in the basement. 2 were given to me grown from seeds and three are from cuttings.
:) Donna
Thanks Ladies ;^)
Donna, there are several vendors who sell seeds from Australia.
I reccomend Brad very highly for anything Australian.
http://www.bradsbudsandblooms.com
He has a web store and a terrific e-bay store as well.
There are many lovely non-Aussie varieties available as well so dont limit yourself.
Check out Tropicnature also @
http://www.tropicnature.net
This is Sukis site, it is absolutely wonderful
Ive never had a dissapointment from either of these wonderful vendors.
More often than not I get more than I figured in size and quality.
These 2 vendors make up more than 1/2 of my collection.
The 1/2 I wont part with :^)
Edited to say:
I find these 2 sites so tempting with awesome plumeria and seeds that I actually need to stay away from them LOL!!
I buy something from them both with regularity.
I have bought most of my Adeniums from Brad too
BTW.... Arrogant and Nobile Concubine are filling up with buds!! WOOT!! 8^D

Thank you for the links. I couldn't find any seeds listed, but I remember seeing Australian seeds listed before on ebay.
:) Donna
SUKI HAS SEEDS ON EBAY NOW TOO
OOPS CAPS LOck sorry
Call her 1-800 number on her website and chat with her about seeds.
She can offer you some neat stuff too.
Im all for Brad too, I just want you to look around a bit. ;^)
What's Suki's ebay name?
I believe this is her ebay store
http://stores.ebay.com/TROPIC-NATURE-HAWAII_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZQ2d33QQftidZ2QQtZkm
Im so sorry,
Absent minded moment lol!!
I ussually post links for everything.
That is the correct link up above.
Suki doesn't have anything listed at the moment.
Why don't you just post your question in a new topic she was just here and visits everyday..
Nice pics Mal i too have many seeds from brad and got a 98% germ rate from them..
I didn't have a question. I just made a statement concerning a previous response in this thread.
Michael, I don't know if you noticed, but Donna is in Canada, and maybe we can find out for her if Suki and/or Brad ship to Canada. The shipping of plants and seeds are a little different to Canada, and at the very least, require a Customs form.
HMmmm.. I hadnt noticed..
Im sure Suki and Brad are familiar with it all.
Ill leave it to them, they are the pros. ;^)
Heck if Brad can get cuttings in and out of Oz, what cant he do? 8^D
Scoolie,
Here is Sukis 800 number (808) 668-9693
Please call her, she is so helpful in anyway she can be.
I think the world of her.
Thanks Malestrom for the number.
You most certainly are very welcome. ;^)
