Rose Petal Thyme is very unique! Smells like rose scented geranium rather than a true rose. Very cool.
My favorite creeping Thyme "Elfin" (pic)
Betty, that's one I don't have. I'll have to look for it. thanks. jan
I like the look of juniper thyme too. I have about 30 or so different thymes. Thyme Garden from Oregon carries a lot, as does Richter's in Canada. Well Sweep Herbs in NJ has bunches as well.
I have bought from Richter's and get a catalog from Well Sweep, but am not familiar with Thyme Garden...thanks for the tip, Betty. I have also bought a few from Mountain Valley Grower's. They have a good selection. 30... I wanna be like you ;0) You gotta love 'em. I would have more but I have lost a few from putting them in a bad spot and them ignoring them. I've learned!
Be sure to catch today's article on creeping thymes, featuring several of the great photos from this thread (Thanks, Rose & Gram!).

:-)
O sigh 'Elfin' is a beauty but not hardy for me. 'Bressingham' does wonderfully for me between stepping stones in my clayey alkaline soil. I dig out flats to give away as deer deterrent every spring so should work well in gentler climes. Wondeful foliage scent. Lemon Thyme is a sneaky fast creeper for me but is one of my favs for cooking. Sorry but I'm photo technically challenged (blush).
Goldenberry
I'm in rural Z5 but might as well be Z4 and most Thymes do well for me although I seem to lose some of them. I don't seem to have much luck with Wholly Thyme.
I have Rose Petal Thyme from Richters and its doing well.
I'm not real keen on ordering from them again.
Plants weren't that good.
Will check out Thyme Garden.
