I'm a new member of the "I hate voles" club.

Well... I don't know WHERE it came from, but my cat brought me a vole this afternoon. He called out to me from the garage door in his "I've caught something - come here and prepare to be impressed" tone of voice. I opened the door and there it was, struggling to crawl into my golf shoe by the door. Needless to say, I did the right thing and grabbed the rake on the other side of the door, and...well... the rest is history. Creepy looking little bugger, he was. Good thing he didn't die in my shoe -EW!

Could you imagine...sliding your foot in without looking first!? Eww!!

Tiffany - that would be what is known at our house as: " insertion of the 5-headed monster". My husband did it to a live mouse - hiding from the cats. The resulting squeak (the mouse, not hubby) & the toes hitting the fur happened simultaneously. It was pretty funny to have witnessed the reaction.

LOL Katye!

I can't even begin to imagine my DH's response if he were to do such a thing. He already calls for me to remove live snakes and frogs from the shed, garage, and yard! LOL

I just popped in on this thread and have been in stitches!!! After a few drinks, I'll bet I could get dh's cooperation (and it would be frequent - lol!!!).

My gorgeous cat, Margie, has brought me three little critters in the last two days that I think are voles, although I've not seen any vole holes. Nice kitty!!! Sure beats those baby bunnies she was bringing.
