This tree was already planted when we moved in. We have no idea what it is. He started budding last week and today, started throwing out gorgeous pink flowers.
He was leaning badly and had some damage to his trunk....but I staked him up and the damage healed.

Looks like a double rose of sharon to me. A relative of the hibiscus. I'll look up the latin name .
