Clear Spots on Callas

Headland, AL(Zone 8a)

I got a pretty good pic of the clear spots on the leaves of my Callas. I put my finger behind the leaf so you could see the way the spots are like windows. So weird.....

I also have other mutants callas...like this lime green flower (and there is another bud opening up with the same colors)

And my last mutant....the leaf that thinks it is a flower (so I have a flower that thinks it is a leaf and a leaf that thinks it is a flower...only I would have such confused plants!)

And all these weird callas grow from this one little clump!

Yep, very wierd.

1.
Spots are normal, healthy, in fact. The more the better. Nearly translucent. You probably have Zantedeschia elliottina or a related hybrid.

2.
You have a bulb that you bought last year, and the grower treated it with a hormone to make sure it bloomed for you. Overdose of this hormone causes the mutant half-leaves.

3.
Callas are hybridized to have several eyes from one bulb, making a nice clump with lots of flowers,

Enjoy!
