This is one of the bloominest Japanese Morning Glories I have this year. It is second to my Grey Lady and both of them were in my opinion very poor producer last year. This one started off with a bang in "05" and then didn't bloom again. I think I may have gotten two of three seed off it last year. Just enough to replant this year. Hopefully that will give all of you hope, replant, replant, replant.......I just harvested my first seed of what will hopefully be many this morning......LOL
Akatsuki No Mai
She's very pretty.
Wonderful color!
Really like the white stippling or blizzard effect on this one. Glad it's doing good for you this year.
Nice flowers Dee...
Just another good reason to save seeds...even the first generation offspring can sometimes show a higher degree of adaptation than the immediate parents...
Sure right Ron, I have seen changes in so many of the flowers from last year. I noticed the biggest change in the Shibouri Wisteria, tye dye. The first year is was barley sprinkle with purple dots and the past growing season it is much darker. I liked it better the first year. The darker one is not as pretty in my opinion....
But yes indeed they do change from year to year.
Photo is the Wisteria Tye Dye....
