Gesneriad Show and Sale, a Show and Tell =)

Last Saturday I went to San Francisco to the AGGS sale and show. (mostly sale) and here are some photos I'd like to share.

Here's the show table. Not many plants, but those that were shown were beauties!!

Streps for sale. I didn't get any. But did get other cool gessies.

Petrocosmea minor with elongated leaves (could be wrong on this id, so if any one knows for sure please correct me)

Petrocosmea sericea (got leaves of this one! yea!)

Petrocosmea spp. (looks like p. rosettifolia?)

Primulina tabaccum. Very cool plant.

Your photos are wonderful! Your photo of Petrocosmea minor is correct- I have that, though not doing so well.
Bet it was wonderful!

WOW look at those beautiful Streps ! That's what I said too Anna ! I really like the Primulina tabaccum
too ! Her foliage is so neat almost like a leaf from a tree and very striking flower. Now I'd love one of her !

BC Looks like fun! How beautiful. I love the lavendar strep with the purple throat. What was the price of the sale plants?

The streps ran about 8.00, most were noid from a big nursery grower down in the south bay area. I recognized four of the Ogalvee hybrids (like Optimara, they don't put the id on them, but since I have them, I knew who they were.)
Ogalvee 'Jason', 'Cassandra', 'Echo' and 'Samantha'

Most of the gessies I got were $3-5 (what a steal!) A few were $6 (Kohleria's) but otherwise they were all well priced.

Here's a few that I recently potted up at the arboretum greenhouse. I didn't prop these, but did get to repot them from the prop benches.

I also got one of these. But had no idea what it was when I bought it, but figured it was something I had to have, and I could google it later.
