"Easter" Lily

Fort Myers, FL(Zone 10a)

I bought some during easter time. They have died out.. so I dug the bulbs out of the pots to put them into the ground... all these little guys started falling out everywhere.

Are they baby bulbs?

Yep, those are baby bulbs. Go ahead and plant them but not quite as deep as the large bulbs.

cool! I did read taht if they try to flower to but it off and not let it.. Is that correct?

I suppose that is helpful when they are tiny but they may just put out foliage for a year and then give you one or two blooms in following years. Personally, I like to enjoy the 1 or 2. Be sure to deadhead so that they don't waste their energy on making seed, usless that is what you want.

I put babies around the stems of the mother so I know who they are. If planting bulblets from scales I plant just under the surface (about and inch or so) and usually cover with some wire to keep off critters, in the shade - for the first couple of years.
