If you're bored, I've got a new movie up

Metuchen, NJ

It's not exactly tree-related, but you guys are so sweet and supportive of my work that I thought I'd just let you know it's there.

I took pictures of the Memorial Day events here in Metuchen, and made a slide show with music. (Ginkgo and honey locust trees were planted in Memorial Park years ago. You'll see them starting at about the middle of the movie. The ginkgoes are beautiful. The locusts are trying to find the sun.)

Sorry in advance, Guy.

Now there you go again with this new-fangled high-speed Internet stuff. Someday I'll have wireless, and then you won't be able to tease me anymore!

OH JULIE!!!!!! I'm SOOOO glad I found you... WELL, if it wasn't enough for you to post all about the glory red maple... and then this too!! Great job and great show!! I want to be as good a BLOGGER AS YOU!! You inspire me!!!!!!!!!!

Here's my Glory Red Maple Story!!

Well, on Thursday, I went to my favorite grower to look for thrown away and clearance/reduced plants/trees/shrubs and fit as much as I could in the back of the truck. There were these two trees, scarlet oaks that I looked up when I got home and decided they were well worth my time and I returned on Sat to get them but they had reserved tags on them and so I lost out on those. A woman working there asked If I'd seen the maple to which I replied I had one and she said, no... this one is just incredible and you would really love it.. I got this $200 tree for $30 since the form wasn't "perfect" and I got a big pin oak for $15 since it was stressed and on it's way out. I came home and looked up the Glory Maple on Daves and found your post and link and I was just TICKLED PINK that I got that tree and SOOOOO grateful to you for having taken the time to go through all the seasons and showing me what a treasure I have :) We got it planted today and I just showed my husband your excellent blog about it. Thank you so much. I have just started thinking about blogging, as I too want to share as my garden grows. Thanks so much!! I will go take a picture of mine to share!! :)

aggiesmom: thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Susan, thanks! I am happy to have been a help to you. Good luck with your new tree. I was just out today trying to figure out how to prune mine for mower clearance again. I need bigger pruners!

Guy, even if you get high speed internet, I'm sure we'll find SOMEthing to tease you about. ; )

Happy day,

Surely not -- I'm perfect in every way, and unflappable! That's why TerryR calls me Mr. Wonderful!!!

But keep doing what you're doing, because many people benefit from it even if I can't get in the door myself.
