I am thinking this might be a good way to share extra plants, iris rhizomes, etc. Unless there are licenses, inspections, other legal things that are necessary?
Has anyone sold plants at their local farmers market?
We have 5 people selling plants at our market. In Minnesota the only time you need a license is for woody plants. The big nurseries pushed this though the legislature to keep the little guys out. Claimed some disease prevention!
We sell bedding plants & hanging baskets & porch pots.
Some Hudderites sell large baskets & pots.
Another guy sells about same as us.
A lady sells seed started perennials & plants she divides off her garden perennials.
A man sells prairie flower plants. Anything that was native at one time.
This is a good mix & we all do rather well with sales.
