Hi all...first want to say how much I have enjoyed being a member of DG! I have soaked up so much information since I joined just a few weeks ago!
I am wanting to get a few cuttings off of a friend's Rose of Sharon. I am pretty much a newbie to all this, so didn't want to do the cutting without first knowing how and ending up ruining the cuttings.
I appreciate your help!
Thanks,
Rhonda

One of your simplier shrubs.Take a cutting 3-4 inches long from desired shrub, strip all but 3 leaves, dip in rootone, and put it in a mix of sand and peat moss,in a pot, temporarely cover with clear plastic(garbage bag),in the shade, mist every other day. After 4-6 weeks remove plastic, and let it get use to sun light gradualy, plant in its location in the fall Mike
Thanks for the reply, Mike!
