It sounds like 'Park Avenue Blue' was a popular choice... I think it was number 16 on my list, had to decide if I "needed" it or azalea pots more, LOL, pots won out.

I'm willing to sponsor, but my plantlets are a little more limited at the moment than I'd like, so I was thinking of sponsoring a little more down the road... of course, not every Bingo game has to have Allison-style boxes as the prize. :-) I wonder how well rooted leaf pots would travel, as I have extras of some of the leaves I've recently put down and could quickly put down a few more. Has anyone tried to send leaf pots where the leaves have roots but only teeny plantlets or even no plantlets yet?

Yes, but I don't want to put potted leaves on the list of prizes if they won't travel well. And if I waited even until August to sponsor, I'd probably have leaf pots with little plantlets and maybe some decent rooted suckers of others by then.
As Allison said, you don't have to have 35 prizes to list in order to sponsor.... just list 35 of your favorite AV names to use in making the "cards" and describe the actual prize separately.... leaves, plants, books, pots, AV fertilizer, even an AVSA membership or a gift certificate to one of your favorite growers... any of those would be great prizes. Allison got us started playing Bingo with a fabulous prize list -- not to mention declaring 6 winning cards! -- but don't think you have to match that in order to sponsor a really fun game!

Plus I bet a lot of DG's Peeps have 35 named plants they can take a couple leaves off of each ! They onlt grow back by the doubles. I don't have a lot of plants so I added babies in ! , Pots, a book :))

Allison I cannot take credit for the beauty of my plant, it came that way- now it did take a month or so to bloom so maybe I can take credit for that- or at least not hindering it! The variegation is lovely, it's part of what sold me and of course the flower is so vibrant!

If you do not have 35 types named of leaves/ so on you may list 35 named African violets.People Pick 15 still the Winner gets the prizes you choose ! . Prizes must be stated before start of game.
Prizes need to have something to do with African Violets and Gesneriads .
Like books, Supplies, Gift Certificate...and so on !
We need at least ten plus people to play, one card holder and one Sponsor .
Don is going to hold the July cards.
A few people can go together to buy a Gift Cert.
