Here in Hoopa we have a serious problems with "unclaimed" and uncared for dogs, so when we moved here in 2003, I, by default, became a rescuer. Since we closed on our house in March 2004, around 50 pooches have called our place home for some amount of time, before they went to their forever homes.
I thought I'd share a few photos.
This is Little Bit. She came on May 19. She has mange, but is recovering nicely. We are all having lots of fun with her. The other 9 dogs keep her busy, and she's never not ready to play. I think that helps her sleep through the night in her crate with no accidents, plus, she wakes me up if she has to go. So far, no accidents in the crate and only a couple in the house when I didn't notice that she had come in (she hides perfectly under all the other dog bodies that are in and out here!).
